Data in Excel
Say you have an Excel spreadsheet with 1000 rows of data but you only want to see the rows where the state column equals TX. There’s a quick and easy way to do that in Excel.
Select the row of column headings, click Data, then Filter and AutoFilter. This puts an arrow to the right of each column name. Click the down arrow in the state column and select TX. Excel only displays the rows where State equals TX.
To display all the rows again, click the State down arrow and select ALL. Hint: This will not work if you have a blank row between your column headings and the data.
